I just read your comment on the post I wrote that said that I was going on a trip to San Jose. So you lived in San Jose for 8 years. I say that you can't beat the weather there. I've been through quite a few earthquakes which they have them where you're living at now, right? My friend's daughter had the H1N1 virus plus she had pnemonia (sp?) so she was in the hospital for a few days. My friend flew from Fresno, CA to take care of her daughter in Portland, OR. I have diabetes so I think that I'm suppose to get the shot for that virus. I'm going to the Dr. in a couple of weeks so I'll ask her then if I should get the shot. My husband and I each got our regular flu shot over a month ago. Got to go now. Love, Georgia

Even though my son, Steven, is not addicted now I think it's interesting what people say about their addicted son or daughter. I love the way you write things and give people advice. I have learned some of the same things you have learned so I know what you're saying to people is good advice. Let me know how you're doing sometime when you get a few minutes. Take Care. Thanks for the link to stepchat! I've been frustrated lately with the lack of discussion at SG in Codependent, and Marijuana Recovery groups and am looking for other venues of support. I am an ACOA - not an addicte - just broke up with pot addicted boyfriend. God Bless You!

You have Steven take good care of you - tell him strict orders from me - or there will be severe consequences he'll have to deal with. I hear that this flu hangs on for 1 to 1 1/2 weeks - get rest and have the 2 legged boys take care of you - for a change:)

- Definitely. They help you take the focus off of your problems and yourself. They give unconditional love and are ALWAYS there for you! I don't know why more medical professionals don't recommend getting a pet.

- While Cymbalta worked for the first 30 day... the next 60 days have changed my life. My doctor felt 30 mgs was not working so upped my dosage to 60. I then suffered Seretonin Toxicity and I backed myself back to 30. Then the side effects itching sweating etc. became so bad she told me to back down to 20 and then stop. That is where I am today. Trying to get off this horrible drug.
