I dropped the depression group because I am no longer depressed.
After all these years of docs treating the symptom of depression as if it were an isolated ailment, I am now treating the underlying condition that causes my depression. The "cure" for me is as simple as proper nutrition, following simple dietary changes to keep my blood sugar levels okay. And sure enough, when I feel the depression rolling back in... if I take a look at what I've been eating, the link is obvious. To make the depression go away again, I just have to eat right for a few days. An added perk is weight loss. Not drastic, but it slowly adds up.
I'm not on here very much these days... I do wish everyone well.

I am glad you are feeling better and found out what works for you. But, do hate that you have dropped the groupl

So glad you are feeling better. You may still need the group to keep you on a good roll against depression. Plus yu can help others with the same problem. I had depresseion a while back and found out though blood test it was because I was dehydrated. So when I start feeling that way again I realy start drinking more water. It took an RN friend of mine to look at the results and tell me what she saw. My doctor at that time never had a clue. I did change doctors. God job on the weight loss. I have found a little bit down makes me feel so good. At least it isn't a gain.
