I started taking Metformin 6 weeks ago for my pcos. I had some pain in my kidneys but I figured it would go away, it didn't. A week ago they uped my dosage to 1000 mg a day and it just got worse. I asked the pharmacist if it was normal and he said no I should really talk to my dr. She just gave me a creatnin test and it came back fine. I have PKD and I don't think it is beneficial for me to take something to fix one problem but has the potential to give me renal failure. I go to dr next week we will see what he says then.
