Oh poor Ethan. I found out last night he'd had diarreah on and off for two days already, which explained his abolutely raw bottom, and his misery when I tried to clean it off so I could put hydrocortizone on it. So instead of wiping it clean, I put him in a bath and even that was painful for him. With Carl's help we got him to sit in the bath for a little bit and to take some Tylenol. He was in so much pain. Poor kid. I eventually did get him dryed off enough to get the hydrocortizone cream on the raw area and he felt better almost immediately. I was so glad. He was in so much pain when we started last night. Then he got up with an upset stomach this morning and said he still had diarreah, so I managed, after a good five or ten minutes of coaxing, to get him to take a small dose (half of a normal dose since 12 years of age and older get a Tbsp). He didn't want to drink it straight. He can't swallow pills, so any AD pills are out of the question, and he gets gaggy on liquid meds, kinda like me. So I mixed it in like 1/4 cup of pineapple orange juice and I took a small taste (and I know I'm not supposed to have Pepto anymore but had to show him it wasn't so bad, and it actually wasn't...I HATED Pepto when I used to take it!). He finally did manage to drink it down after a bit of coaxing. I told him he can either eat crackers or toast for breakfast and explained to him that it might help things firm up so it won't be so painful and hurt him so much to go. But he declined the food even though he said he was hungry. So I told him he could lay in my bed and watch cartoons. Right now he's laying in bed with Carl. When Carl is up and moving, I'll go lay down, and, if he's asleep, I'll just go back to sleep. If not, I'll turn on cartoons for him and then I'll go to sleep. Haha. Either way I win for an hour or two at least.

In other news...I found a cheap bookshelf at a second hand store. It just has two shelves, but its wide enough, so I cleaned my closet for the first time in AGES! Talk about a dirty, dusty, busy process! I got up on a chair and sorted the books I wanted on the book shelf between the ones I either want to reread, read for the first time (yes, I have some books I've not even read!) or something that may be useful over time to look at. I almost filled the two shelves too! And the top of my closet is still packed with other books that I won't really look at much (outside of pregnancy books when and if I get pregnant again). I cleaned up the floor just to find a pair of dress shoes for a wedding we have to go to tomorrow afternoon. Found them! LOL. I folded some blankets and layed them on the floor of the closet for the baby kittens to lay on too. Sorted and folded a bunch of clothes that were on my closet floor.

I named the baby kittens last night. I'll eventually take pictures and post them up here. One is Rusty (light yellowish sorta color), and there's Bianca (a snow white one), Gizmo (after a cat I used to have that was pure grey, just like this kitten), and then Lilo (a black calico). They are so darling and when I talk, if they're awake, they'll answer me. LOL. Its so cute!

Well, my weekend up through Tuesday, at least, from the top of my head, is packed full with stuff. Today my home health aide comes out at 12:45 for a while. It won't take us long to straighten out this place though, so we'll get lots of time in to visit. Then my SIL and her family are staying here on the farm this weekend. Then tomorrow we're butchering chickens until its time to get ready for the wedding we're going to. Then at 4 is the wedding until who knows when we manage to get back. Then Sunday is my birthday, so I have no clue what's going on that day as of yet. Likely next to nothing, as is every year, but we'll see. My mom did send me some money for my birthday and told me that it's only for Carl and I to go out to eat ALONE, as she put it. LOL. Dunno if we'll make it out alone, but that's what she wants. LOL. Then Monday I have therapy over at treatment, then I have treatment group for 3 hours after that. Or is it the dietitian on Monday. Either way, I have an appointment before group.

I better go. Ethan needs the bathroom and Carl is in there, so I best check the situation cuz I thought Carl had gotten inthe shower. Until later...
