From another person who is dealing with RA at a young age to another. Tomorrow I pick up my handicapped sticker and my coworkers had tons of fun teasing me for it, but for the first time I laughed instead of letting it hurt. Close Ankylosing Spondylitis
i am 21 year old female, i was diagnosed with a s a few years ago and it changed my life completely
Treatments
- Enbrel Too Soon to Tell
- i just currently started using it, and then i had to go off of it for a few weeks because the coverage fell through but i started it again and this will be my second week on it since then but i have had no side effects from it so far
- Humira Not Working
- i tried it and it was hardly helpful i also tried almost every other medication
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- did not work for me and i was still in constant pain
Close Arthritis
i am a 21 year old female diagnosed with rhematoid arthritis, and a few other things i have tried a lot of different medications and hardly any of them help. It is very depressing because people my age do not know what i am going through and i cannot live the same lifestyle that they are living
Treatments
- Acupressure Not Working
- i tried accupressure it did not help
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Too Soon to Tell
- i do not know if this helped but i am taking glucosamine, and i will continue to take
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- it does not fully help it only partially takes away the pain, and not enough to keep takin it
- Medrol Not Working
- it did not work at all
- MSM Too Soon to Tell
- i am taking msm pills as well as the glucosamine i am not sure if they are working
- Naproxen Not Working
- i was on naproxen and it did not help at all
- Swimming Not Working
- swimming helps with the stiffness but then an hour or so later i get all stiffened up
- Tylenol Not Working
- it got to harsh on my stomach
- Voltaren Not Working
- i was on this it did not help
Open Depression
i was diagnosed with rhematoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, and spondoloarathropathy, a few years ago. Currently i have had a reaction to the medications that i am on and now i have had to quite my job and on crutches cause there is somehthing wrong with my ankle and the doc doesnt know what it is

i have become severely depressed the past couple of weeks but i have always had an eating disorder when i was younger i used to make myself throw up but know i just eat as little as possible, the only times that i eat is when i know i have to

i was diagnosed with arthritis, a few years ago but on thursday my ankle just ballooned up and it became very tender and it got all red and very hot to the touch and i cannot get to my doctor yet and the emergency room sent me home currently i am at home not working and on crutches

i was diagnosed with r a when i was 19 and i am 21 now i have tried many different meds none of them have really helped but currently i am on enbrel and it is working
