I'm so tired of itching! I itch everywhere! My legs,,,my hands,,my stomach,,my legs,,my arms,,my back. Eczema is slowly taking over my body. I lost a day of work this week because my hands were so bad, itching and cracking, that I couldn't use a computer. Slathered on Gold Bond medicated body lotion and put on latex gloves for four hours and it softened my hands so I could bend my fingers better. There are spots of eczema on my stomach, back, and upper legs that are driving me crazy.(Short Drive) Why can't cortizone cream come in giant, economy tubes?! Will be going to the doctor this morning to have the infection in my right leg checked. It's been two weeks since I started the antibiotic and it seems the swelling has gone down quite a bit, but it should since I've been wearing an ace bandage on it every day. The sore on my left foot is still around. It would seem a second antibiotic would have cleared it up, but it didn't. Still hurts when I walk. Vickie is so concerned with my legs, she called me on my cell on my way to work Friday. Told her I was going to doc and she told me to call her when I got back. She just doesn't want me to get mrsa again. She still remembers coming into my hospital room while they were scraping my legs. Must have been pretty bad because she's not afraid of anything. I saw it only one time. I'm tired of hurting when I walk. And, I'm tired of my hands itching, cracking, and bleeding. Will ask the doc for a bigger prescription of the eczema cream so I can cover all the spots. So far I've been using it on my hands for the most part. On a positive note, I've cut my smoking by two-thirds. I smoke only at work where the stress is and only one or two at home. I'm buying cigaretts that I don't like so I'll smoke less. Gotta go. Can't sleep so I've got to make a pot of coffee and scratch.
As most of you know, I've been having some health problems. First, was an infection in my left foot. Then, a breathing problem that put me in th E.R. and off work for a week, And then, I got an infection in my right leg. Still have the problems, but to a lesser extent. Because of all this, my yard hasn't been mowed in months and was getting pretty high. Well, this afternoon there was a knock on my side door. It was one of my neighbors. It seems his wife saw my leg when I went to the doctor last week and he'd noticed I was off for a week and I've been having trouble walking. He had his riding lawnmower with him and told me he was going to mow the front yard to help me out. He lives one house away from me and is the same neighbor who told me about the guys trying to get in my house when I went on vacation last year. He said some neighbors had called the police. Wanna bet he called the police? I don't see any of my neighbors very often because of my work schedule and have nodding relationships with them. At least with the 2 houses that have been around more than 2 or 3 years. The other 2 rent houses change families about every 6 months to a year. I would never expect him to do something like that. It is a blessing that I'll remember.

Add your supportThe first week back at work is over. After a week off trying to learn to breathe again and learning my limitations, I just tried to survive the week. I'd quit smoking, but the job pressure was hard. Am now smoking only after particularly hard calls. By Friday night, I was feeling very tired. Worn out. Didn't realize how tired I was till Saturday afternoon. I laid down on the bed and was out for about three hours! Was going to mow the yard this morning, but the grass is still too wet and I'm still too tired. Plus, I've got a problem with my right leg. Eczema has taken over and made it swell. It hurt all day yesterday, but feels better today and the swelling has gone down. Still have a sore on the bottom of my left foot. The skin's beginning to peel from where my toes start. The doc says keep it oiled up, but that doesn't seem to do much good. Tired of wearing two socks on it. Guess we'll see what happens.
