I am a nurse, but right at this point in my life, any medical knowledge i had seems to have flown the coop! Tends to happen in times of stress and illness, and this is both! I live in a town of about 3, 000 people. No support group that i can find, but I might start one!

Close Breast Cancer
Aug 27th I went for a routine mammo and u/s. Hadnt been since 2002, but hadnt felt anything strange in my rare self exams. To my surprise, after the U/S they did a biopsy, right then and there. Sept 5th i found out I have breast cancer, and the next day saw a surgeon. I have no idea how long it will take for me to be booked for surgery. I havent had a chance to ask a lot of questions to my doc or the surgeon yet. I feel like I am numb and this isnt true. I know it is.
Close Depression
I have suffered depression for many years, and have been off work for just over a year for depression and stress. Now I have been diagnosed with breast cancer, so I can see where I am going to have to be even more careful to look after my self and prevent a doward spiral!!!

- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- Effexor Not Working
- Withdrawal was a bitch!
- Prozac Somewhat Helpful
- On and off it for years, but it seemed to help for a time
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- took me years to find somene I could work with that i felt helped me
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- I thank God for my support network!
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- Pamelor Working / Worked
- Trying it now, seems I still feel weepy a lot of the time, but will keep at it for a while
