Nightmares are over!! Since it was the same dream over and over about forgetting something important, I just talked about it with my husband and it went away. I had to see that I wasn't really afraid of anything. My fingers are getting better and better. I am sleeping six hours at night without getting up to pee. I don't think non MSers do that well at my age. I will be glad when the leg stiffness goes away.

This is the fingertip story. Long before I was DX, at least 17 years ago, I started going numb from the soles of my feet, up to my arms, and down to my hands. I thought it was a pinched nerve that always caused problems and went to my chiro. After a couple of weeks it started receding from the hands back down to my soles, but my fingertips never regained feeling. In the last six or seven years, they have gotten worse. I hated most that I did not have a sensitive touch in my fingertips. Things felt weird. In the last few days I realize the feeling is coming back--not all there, but I think it is coming back. Now if only my leg numbness will start to recede.

I told my husband today that I would take it if it only helped my bladder be normal..I am already taking the normal bladder for granted; once in a while I remember to thank God for leading me to it. THere are no coincidences, at least not in my life.

I have to tell you about the great day LDN gave me today. I had a teeth cleaning at 1:30 scheduled, so--knowing that more than one outing a day exhausts me--I tried to get a chiro appointment close in time as it is on the way. THe only available was 10 a.m. So, I went to chiro and went through the bone cracking, back to my car (transferring from chair to drivers seat every time), stopped at beauty shop and got my hair colored, which took two hours, dashed to the dentist through lots of traffic and was only three minutes late. Tottered into their nonhandicapped assec. bathroom, got the workover by hygienist, then headed 30 minutes home and still felt like stopping to shop at drugstore. All this on warm May day, in and out of hot car, not eating until 2:30. Guess what? I just got home and I FEEL GREAT!! It has been years since I have been able to go on like that, particularly in warm months.

I am adding old posts of mine since I started LDN in April to make this a journal of my experiences. This was the first month on it:
I go to a tiny church in a beautiful park. We never have more than 30 people in services. I sub on the organ when the organist is gone by pulling my wheelchair up to the organ and not playing the foot pedals. I used to play piano, but my fingers got to the point where they no longer go where they are supposed to and the arm movement is exhausting. The organ involves slower movements, no forceful striking of keys, and the chance to hit a note or two when you are tired instead of more complicated fingering.
Yesterday the pianist was gone, and I was the only person in the church who could play. I could not use the sustain pedal or it would have been down the whole time, but I played five songs without my fingers getting so numb and tired they would not move. I did it and my fingers felt good afterwards, like good exercise. I made up for the lack of sustain by playing more notes. Wow! Thank You Lord for LDN!!!

I was reading about someone having trouble with being hot at night--which has made me miserable at night for years. I was going to tell how I try to handle it when it suddenly hit me. It has not been a problem lately. Could it be LDN? Anyone else?

I went for an eye exam today and they took a photo of the inside of my eye rather than dilate it, then I got to look at the photo. They showed me where the optic nerves were and where optic neuritis shows up, as well as other problems like high blood pressure and diabetes. Good news!! Mine was perfect and they were amazed. I had double vision 13 years ago that led to my DX, but no problems since. I love knowing what the inside of my eyeball looks like. I'm not crediting LDN with it, though--not enough time.

This is so nice that you are experiencing these improvements -- I am glad that LDN is there as an option for you, Jeanne. I read about the bladder improvements the most with people so good to hear. *M
