Hello My Dearest DS Sisters
As many of you know by now i had my appointment with my gyn/onc this past Weds and I am happy to report my CA 125 was 3.3. Lower that it was last time. I feel very blessed and very thankful and just hope it continues to stay down. My Dr. needless to say is very pleased. I go next in Aug. By that time it will be 2 years since my DX. She wants me to go for a bone density test, since she thinks I have the bocy type for Osteoporoses. She thinks I am thin. HA Ha. I have gained tweny pounds since the end of chemo, which was Jan. 08. I am bursting out of all my clothes. Everyone says well at least you are healthy, which I know is true, but I would rather be healthy and thin. Well maybe you can't have it all.
Well on the job front, the Apartment locating is not going so well. I am slowley going broke. I went on another job interview yesterday, but I am not very hopeful. It is an assistant to a New Home Sales councelor three days a week. About 30 hours. So I don't know. There is a long hiring process.
Even though I am broke I am still planning on going to NJ in June. There I hope to meet up with Lindaheff. I am so looking forward to that. I really need this trip. Tried to go last year and it didn't work out.
As far as the smoking I keep having set backs. My doctor suggested a class they have there at the clinic. If you attend the class you can get Chantix. Otherwise they will noto prescribe it for you, so I guess I will do it.
Thanks for reading, my love to all of you.
Anita

Great news about your check-up! This is a hard economic time for so many of us, just stay committed and focused, that seems to get me through the day(I've kind of banned my self from watching CNN, it makes me lose focus) I treat it like I treat cancer, I know and trust that things will work out. My hubby did chantrix for a month(it's pretty expensive, even with insurance)...after that he just quit cold turkey. It's hard for him, i never bothered him about smoking, i knew that if he wanted to quit, he would and that's exactly what happened. You will get there too!! Have fun in NJ this summer, the trip will be good for your soul...

Congrads on the Great Checkup!! So glad you had such a good CA 125 number!!
I am sorry that things have been so difficult on the job front. We were so lucky to find a job for Bob so quickly. But that was before the economy tanked. I will pray something good comes your way soon. Just continue to be presistent as I know you are. Maybe you haven't found a job because the right one hasn't presented itself yet.
I am glad you are going to go on your NJ trip this summer. You certainly deserve it! Life is too short no matter what to pass the vacation up. It is good for the soul and therfore good for your health as well.

Congratulations on your CA 125! No matter what else is going on, this should give you peace of mind. I just had the latest one about 3 weeks ago and it's crept up from a 2 to a 5. No cause for worry, they say, but I'd prefer a downward trend. My sincerest wishes that you find a job soon. I do pray for all my DS sisters every day and will add your job hunt to the list. I'll also mention the smoking :) My husband quit cold turkey right before we got married almost 36 years ago. At the time he had incentive because I wouldn't kiss him unless he brushed his teeth. Again, congratulations on the great report! Hugs, Janet

Thanks you all of you. It is so wonderful to share my good news with my DS sisters. We all can understand the stress of going to those check ups and waiting for the results of the CA 125. My love to all of you.

Great news on the ca-125. I will pray for you to find a job. Quitting smokeing is really a tough one. I quit cold turkey but would have been nice to of had some help. I know what you mean as for needing a vacation even if you cannot afford it. Glad you are going to go as I know that it really helps because my cousin that lives in Atlanta sent me a ticket to come and visit her about a year ago.
It helps your brain think about something other than yourself and your problems for a while. Hugs,Carol

What wonderful news on you CA 125! Congratulations and I too will be praying for a job and one that you will like better than the last! Happy Easter to you and your family. I think the easter bunny came early......Giant hug....Beth

Thanks Beth. Yes I was thrilled about my test results. I went on a job interview for a job I thought I would really like, but I never heard back from them. I think I made a mistake by telling them that I am a cancer survivor and that my credit is shot. I also think my age is against me. So I am trying to make the best of the apartment locating. I like the work and I can do it at home, but it is very difficult. I have to have faith the it will work for me eventually.

Glad that your check-up went well. Oh my...the going broke part is scary. I still don't quite understand why you couldn't qualify for SSdisability like me.
Of course, with Mac's early retirement, we will really have to watch our budgeting.
I wonder if you are still selling Avon? I haven't gotten any of the email sales info lately.
well, time to go relax. I am thinking all sorts of good things, especially for you. Wish I was going to "jersey" too. Mac wants to go and meet up with all of his old chums and we did think about Ocean City at the end of summer. He wanted to time it for "corn and tomato season!" We shall see...
hugs and more hugs, lindamae
