I have been eating alot of dark fruits and vegetables and berries. Mostly blueberries. I also have been taking a ginger capsule everyday and drinking a glass of red wine with dinner everynight. I have not started excersizing yet, but when I do it will be a walk around the block everday. Three months out of chemo at this writing my CA 125 is 2.5. I am thrilled with that.

I just wanted to say that when I was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer 20+ years ago I took megadoses of vitamin C and B vitamins and a general multivitamin that was natural. I wanted to build up my system before having the chemo and radiation therapy. I am sure this helped but I am aware of the controversy that continues about whether or not it is good to take mega doses of vitamins as some vitamins are toxic to the system it too much is taken like Vitamin A I believe it is.........but don't quote me on this...........lol

Thanks for the links to studies on Ginger. They were SUPER INTRESTING! I will talk to my oncologist about taking it when I see them at the end of May. Very promising!

That's a fantastic CA125 result.. The ginger links are very interesting and a ray of hope that something new and effective and side-effect-free might not be too far away.. I took loads of ginger at the start of my chemo.. and shall give it another try.. I think I over did it and really went off it.
I've also heard that turmeric is good for beating cancer, but can't remember where or why.. I do know that in India ginger is eaten raw, on a daily basis because of it's medicinal properties. I'm going to go and make some fruit tea and add lots of ginger.. xxxxxx

I think it was Madona who wrote about tumeric in the OC disscusion group.
I do not presume that the ginger is the reason for my low CA 125.......but hey, who knowns. Time will tell. I take the ginger in capsule form that I get at the health food store.
