  Hi there,
  Here's a special hug for you today. It isn't easy for some DIL's to accept and share with their husband's Mom. I was incredibly lucky to have a MIL who really knew how to be a good friend to me. She and I were sooooo different, yet she always made an effort to stand back and let me make my own mistakes/and or accomplishments. When Natalie (Mac's Mom) died a few years back, several members of MY family showed up for her service. Jen flew all the way down to Fl from Connecticut. Natalie had that kind of effect on people.
  With my grandkids I have always tried not to be too pushy. My granddaughter, Tilly, is PopPop's little girl. If I am talking with HER on the phone she'll talk a minute and then say..."Can I talk to PopPop now!?"
  Bess's little Oliver gets to spend lots of time with his "other" grandmom, in Denver.
  I am glad that Bess has this woman in her life...as Bess has been very close to me.
  Once again, I am thinking about you. Go on and tell your DIL that you want to have more time with the grandkids! Maybe she just doesn't realize what's up. Of course, if this is the same person who was telling you that we don't need healthcare reform, good luck. Perhaps talking with your son?
  Whatever the case you are greatly loved, and appreciated here. You've helped me up more times than I can count.

  Thank you Anita. I wore my teal pants and wrist band for all of us! Alot of runners wore their survivor shirts which I will next time. Big big hugs to you..

  Thanks for the band aid.. No.. not feeling better yet.. it all aches a bit more and I have slept all morning.. just taken the third dose of penicillin stuff, so early days. Shame is I can't sit comfortably to get on with the drawing.. but I can listen to the radio and sleep lots.. How are you today? xxx
