      From JulierRae November 10

Here is a hug for you. I know that you have been going through a tough time with your new job. This economy is just TERRIBLE! I am so lucky that Bob found a steady job even if the pay is low. I will pray that things get better for you. You have had such a hard and disappointing time, but I am hoping that things will change for you. You deserve it!!
My blood test is Thurs and I have and Office Visit on Friday. I should get my CA-125 then. Hoping for the best.
Stay posivite and don't give up. Boatloads of Hugs and Love - Julie

    • Little Love

      From Lindaheff November 10

      Dear Anita
I`m sending lots of love your way and hopes that you`ll find a job that is best suited for you. Today was another long chemo day...My busride always begins at 5:30AM, followed by my 20 block walk and today I had a 3.5hr wait for chemo. I`ve been up for a minimum of 24 hrs and am exhausted and cranky. However, our weather is supposed to be in the mid 60s tomorrow, when I look forward to crashing on my deck. Stay strong regarding the job issues. Lots of love, as always!
      xxLinda

      From Lindaheff November 9

      Dear Anita
I`ve been wondering how you are and how the job is working out? At least Obama`s health care reform should be good news for you...How are your precious grandchildren doing? I can`t wait to have my first grandbaby in May, something that I thought I`d never live to see :) Stay well. Lots of love, as always!
      xxLinda

Thanks for t he comment on my journal. I am proud of Nick's report card because school only gets harder and harder. We just have to work on a few things, like his handwriting and organizational skills. I do believe boys have it harder, but I too remember struggling at his age and getting better every year. I love his teachers this year!
Tonight is family night. I think we are playing Yahtzee. That's a fun game. Our family got their flu shots today and the Church's Health Fair.
I hope things ae going better with your job. Work is hard, esp sales. But I have faith in you. Just believe in yourself.
hope all is well with you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Love and Hugs - Julie

    • Good Luck

      From IUPUI November 7

Hi Anita, Your grandchildren's halloween pictures are adorable. What great costumes they had! I also never answered your question - I still have to have the next two chemo treatments even though my CA 125 is low. My worry right now is the hearing loss and whether it will get worse. Actually, I can deal with the hearing loss; it's the ringing in my ears that is the most bothersome. Of course, I want the cancer gone most of all. How are you doing with the job? I know you were sounding a bit discouraged. I hope things are going well now. Much love, Janet

    • Close Ovarian Cancer

My actual diagnosis was primary peritineal Carcinoma Stage III. I had a hysterectomey 4 weeks ago. I start my chemo on the 18th. I am 61 years old with two grown children and one beautiful grandchild. I would love to hear from any who has had the same diagnosis and what your treatment was. I am not sure of the name of my chemo but I will have two portals. One intravenous and one in my stomach.

    • Close Diabetes Type 2

I am 62 years old and I live in Spring TX, right outside of Houston. I have two grown children, both married and one grandchild. I was diagnosed with Type II Thirteen years ago. I became insulin dependent right away. I am on two types of insulin. Novolin N for long acting and the R on a sliding scale. At the end of July '07 I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. The steroids they give me with my chemo play havoc with my bood sugar.

      Treatments

Insulin (Regular and NPH) Working / Worked
I like this regimin of using two types of insulin, because if I am too high I can take the R on a sliding scale and bring it down right away.
    • Open Health Care Reform

I was diagnosed back in July 07 with ovarian cancer. I had company paid health insurance at the time, so everything was taken care of. Well now that I am through with chemo and ready to back to work they laid me off, saying that things had gotten very slow and they couldn't afford to pay me so they laid me off. My benifits had run out about two months before, so I had been paying cobra. My last payment to cobra was late so they cancelled me. Now I have no job and no health insurance.
