I am doing much better. Still sober. My freind kind of comes and goes in my thoughts. I was checking my caller ID yesterday and there was a call from her. For a second, I thought that it was not all real then I remembered her husband had called me about my opinion on waht to do with her craft stuff. My heart stopped for a second then I remembered the funeral and all and knew it was true. I miss her so.
I am trying to keep myself busy with things around the house. It seems to help. I know I will carry on but it is hard. I appreciate the support from all my friends here on DS.

We were both in need when we first met
Both hurting and looking for answers
Seeking for those that we loved
Asking God to help us
Not knowing what we would get.
I knew from the start, a best friend I had gotten
A best friend that cared and accepted me
The kind that was always there when needed and
Always knew she was never forgotten.
We met through our weaknesses
Which helped us each to grow strong.
What we thought was tragic
God knew that it belonged
Gifts to reach out to others
The very thing to help us carry on.
Trials we went through together
Though many we had to face apart.
Always knowing the other was there to lean on
In thoughts, and prayers, and in the heart.
You have now gone on before me
And though it breaks my heart
I know you'll always be a part of me and present
BEST FRIENDS FOREVER in my heart.
Written by me for my friend of 24 years who died without warning in her sleep last week.

Oh my sweet friend, this is such a beautiful poem, you are truly gifted.
I'm so sorry about your friends passing.
I know how you feel, I lost my BFF last July the fourth, also found dead at her computer desk.
I've been having anxiety attack since, I do have meds now, so it's not so often but still am quite affected by her sudden death.
I'm afraid that only time will heal us.

sending you a big hug..made me cry..so blessed you both were to have eachother, Jackie! I lost my best friend too 9 years ago and I still cry and miss her sooo much...so hard to take...yet life goes on somehow..true friends are so hard to find...but always will be with us...I am caring for your broken heart..please know i am always here for you..you have my personal info..please feel free to call me or I can call you...I am here for you to lean on when ever you need..dont be shy!!!
