My married life
I am a mom of 2 girls, one teenage, one pre-teen. I have been married for over 16 years to a man who turned to drugs approximatley 4-5 …
Mom of 2 beautiful girls. I am married to a man who has a drug problem but hasnt beenusing in about 2 months, and who has also been abusive to me. I was concentrating more on the drug addiction and not the abuse, thinking once the drugs would stop, the abuse would as well. Also, because the abuse is infrequent and mostly when he has to "look at himself". However, I realize that he abuse most likely will not stop and so I am trying to learn more about abusive relationships and Im trying to get healthy, and do things for myself, like going back to school.

Hi to all of my DS friends!! Whooooo Hoooo! How about those OSU Cowboys? They beat Baylor Bears 34 to 7 last Sat!! Watch out OU..here we come!! I had a fabulous weekend here in OKC!! Had coffee with a new friend Friday evening….then went on a walk around Lake Hefner on Sat morning with Berkeley the Wonder Dog…..then used my new BBQ grill to smoke a couple of slabs of ribs yesterday. How was your weekend?? Cindi
Whoooooo Hooooooo!!! What a fabulous weekend for me here in Oklahoma!! Homecoming Walkaround on Friday night was AMAZING!!! For a glimpse see the OSU student video link: http://ra.okstate.edu/osuaa/video/... The Homecoming theme for 2009 is "Branded For Life" and the Greek house decks (done by a team comprised of a Fraternity and a Sorority) were the best ever this year, IMHO. I has the pleasure of waliking around University Blvd Friday evening from 7 pm until almost 11 pm. Then on Saturday, my beloved Oklahoma State Cowboys beat those Missouri Tigers 33 to 17!!! I will try to get tech support to help me download picts from my i-phone later this week!!! What did you do for fun this last weekend?? Cindi
Hi to all of my DS frinds!! I am heading towards Stillwater for Oklahoma State University's Homecoming walk around this evening. This is the biggest and best college homecoming in the nation according to USA Today. All of the fraternities and sororities team up together and decorate the fraternity house with an elaborate engineered moving house deck each fall, based on a theme set by the college. And the pomping is AMAZING......they use chicken wire soooooo small and intricate that they have to stuff the tissue paper squares in with chopsticks. I hope to be able to take pics with the i-phone and post them for Monday morning positive hugs!! Do something wonderful just for you this weekend, will ya??? Hugs from OKC!!!! Cindi
Love Story
I will seek and find you.
I shall take you to bed and have my way with you.
I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan.
I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop.
I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm finished with you.
And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days.
All my love,
The Flu
Now get your mind out of the gutter and go get your flu shot!

Positive Monday Hugs:
1. I walked 5K in the Komen Race for the Cure here in OKC. I raced in celebration of my Mom, Sandy Gragg-Luna, a two time breast cancer survivor. Boy was it cold Saturday morning….I tied pink and white balloons for the start and finish line arches…..know what?????.....You can’t tie helium filled balloons with pink gloves on!! Even though my fingers and toes were numb, this was still the most fabulous part of my weekend!!! From Cindi DS
2. I had a great time with my daughter this weekend. We went shopping at the mall for daughter's Halloween costume. She has decided to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz complete with Toto!
We also went to the make-up store together and I bought a new eye shadow.
We also went to visit a new friend, a bird breeder. I just love going to see her, the birds she owns, and the birds she has rescued.
It is Thanksgiving this weekend in Canada, so I cooked a Thanksgiving dinner. I love cooking big dinners on holidays. My daughter is a vegetarian and I am too 98% of the time, so our dinner was a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, but no turkey. Sounds a bit weird maybe, but it was delicious! From Sue DS
3. A ROTFLMAO Monday morning positive hug story:
4. I went for my mammogram appointment. I was met with, 'Hi! I'm Belinda!'
This perky clipboard carrier smiled from ear to ear, tilted her head to one side and crooned, 'All I need you to do is step into this room right here, strip to the waist, then slip on this gown.
Everything clear?
I'm thinking, 'Belinda, try decaf. This ain't rocket science.'
Belinda skipped away to prepare the chamber of horrors.
With the right side finished, Belinda flipped me (literally) to the left and Said, 'Hmmmm. Can you stand on your tippy toes and lean in a tad so we can get everything?'
Fine, I answered. I was freezing, bruised, and out of air, so why not use the remaining circulation in my legs and neck and finish me off?
My body was in a holding pattern that defied gravity (with my other boob wedged between those two 4 inch pieces of square glass) when we heard, then felt a zap! Complete darkness and the power went off!
'Oh, maintenance is working. Bet they hit a snag.' Belinda headed for the door.
'Excuse me! You're not leaving me in this vise alone are you?' I shouted.
Belinda kept going and said, 'Oh, you fussy puppy...the door's wide open so you'll have the emergency hall lights. I'll be right back.'
Before I could shout 'NOOOO!' she disappeared.
And that's exactly how Bubba and Earl, maintenance men extraordinaire, found me, half-naked and part of me dangling from the Jaws of Life, and the other part smashed between glass!
After exchanging polite 'Hi, how's it going' type greetings, Bubba (or possibly Earl) asked, to my utter disbelief, if I knew the power was off.
Trying to disguise my hysteria, I replied with as much calmness as possible, 'Uh, yes, yes I did thanks.'
'You bet, take care' Bubba replied and waved goodbye as though I'd been standing in the line at the grocery store.
Two hours later, Belinda breezes in wearing a sheepish grin. Making no attempt to suppress her amusement, she said, 'Oh I am sooo sorry!' The power came back on and I totally forgot about you! And silly me, I went to lunch. Are we upset?'
'And that, Your Honor, is exactly how her head ended up between the clamps' From: SST DS
