4th grade teacher 2 daughters, 20-18-Married 24 years Have hep C- I have Type 2a. I started tx in June but had to stop after 9 shots due to low white blood count. I tried neupogen shots but had dangerous side effects. I had my blood tests taken a month ago. I am still undie!!!! The dr. said I have less than 1% chance of having any reaccurance sinceI my vl was 0 at 6 months. I am so thankful and I am looking forward to a normal summer!!!Keep positive all of you. I plan on staying on this great site!!

ahh yes..the frozen tundra
My last shot was Aug. 16th- I had to stop after 9 shots. I had trouble with my white counts and had a bad reaction to neupogen so I could not take that either. I go for lab in Jan. so I hope I am still undetectable. I was after 4 shots but there is no studies that 9 shots and 9 weeks of ribavarin will be enough. It worried me alot!!
I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 1983. I fought it for 10 years and finally went to Rochester and had surgery,( colostomy) and have had no problems with it. Now I am dealing with hep C from a blood transfusion when my daughter was born. That is how I found this site.I am 45, married for 23 years- 2 daughters-20 and 18. I started treatment for hep C in June. After 9 shots I had to stop because of my low white count. Now it is just a wait!!!
We lost our dog on Dec. 16th- we had Midnight for 12 years. He was a very special part of our family. He had cancer of the mouth and it spread to his lungs. We had to put him to sleep. I am so sad!
