Close Diverticulitis
I was diagnosed by a family Doc with Diverticulitis in the last two months and I have had two outbreaks in the at time. The last one I had fever and chills and was put on Cipro for 10 days. Had Cipro for 5 days 1st time. I suspect I have had this for several years but thought painful bloating in lower stomach was trapped gas. I would take simethone but it never seemed to work.
Treatments
- Cipro Working / Worked
- worked 1st time after about 2 days. just satarted taking it for the second time a day ago and seems to be helping.
Close Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
I was diagnosed with A-Fib about 13 years ago. It took about a year before they found the right med combination to get it under control. On occassion I get a flutter but so far so good. Best thing I did was to see out a Cardiologist that specializes in the electrical part of the heart. Not sure of the spelling but here goes....Electrophysiologist.
Treatments
- Digoxin Working / Worked
- Lanoxin slows the heart, I take .25mg. If the heart beats too quickly, it makes it easier to go into A-Fib. I seem to tollerate it ok.
- Tambocor Working / Worked
- So far working well but Doc tells me that if I start to get chest pain from blockages, This med can be bad. I get a nucliar stress test about every 2 or 3 years to make sure I have no blocked arteries.
Open Sarcoidosis
I have not been diagnosed with sarcoidosis as yet. I had a CT scan with contrast that found granulomas on my liver and spleen. The docs compared a CT scan I had a year before abd the were present at that time. My liver function tests are all normal. My doc is trying to make me an appt. with a liver specialist for liver biopsy. I had the blood test for sarcoidosis but no results yet. I'm an Atrial Fibrilation patient and I have trouble taking steroids. I've been very depressed over this.
Open Cirrhosis
I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis about a year ago but docs think I have had it for some time. My liver function tests remain normal.I have no symptoms and had none at the time of my diagnosis. It was discovered through a routine CT scan for a colonoscopy. I have had a liver biopsy to confirm the cirrhosis
