About Me
I'm a married full-time mom of 3 great kids. I first experienced IC symptoms over 3 yrs. ago and they've been constant ever since, consuming my thinking and my life. My symptoms are urinary frequency, constant bladder and urethral pressure, the constant feeling of a full bladder, sometimes burning and groin pain... My main goal would be to have the feeling of an empty bladder for an extended period of time!...I have seen several docs, including the expert, Dr. Moldwin, tried many drugs and treatments with no success-yet..Diet modication has made no difference in my symptoms.. but yet has me so afraid to eat things that I've lost a ton of weight and look anorexic.. Hoping to get some support, treatment ideas and hope..Thanks!

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
Treatments
- Bladder Distention Not Working
- symtoms worsened for a few weeks, otherwise no change; it just verified that my bladder was thin and had litte "cuts" that indicate IC.
- Bladder Instillation Not Working
- Had 5 intillations..hard to hold in for 30min to an hour..lots of burning and pain the day of instillation... after 5 treatments I saw no improvement..Dr. decided to stop.. I do have less bladder, abdominal pain now, but frequency and pressure are my major issues.
- Elmiron Not Working
- Took it for 6mos..no chane in symptoms..Causes very heavy long menstrual period at one point.. Dr said if no change after 6mos I should stop
- Pyridium Working / Worked
- helps a little when burning occurs
