Tummy Setback #3 ... arrrggghhhhh Over the weekend, I enjoyed using a bow saw and removing the lower limbs from 12 trees. (Fancied myself as Ms Paul Bunyon ... lol) Following release from the doctor, it felt great to be participating in physical activities again. Well, long story short, body didn't like it and Sunday evening found an area on the suture line that was inflamed, red, blue and yellow. It was about the size and shape of a small banana. Couldn't decide if an underlying suture had given way and it was bleeding or whether it was an abscess. I was only able to sleep for 2 hrs and at 5:30 am it ruptured, confirming it was an abscess ... one of the seroma type. Saw the doctor today who says it must now heal from the inside out. So ... back to changing dressings and on a course of antibiotics. While it is frustrating, am most grateful we're only dealing with a seroma ... no staph infections or sutures letting go, etc. Down-side ... no physical activity AGAIN until next doctor appointment a week from Thursday. I'm getting flabby here ... no activity. Who ever thought you'd hear me complaining that I couldn't exercise??? My how things change ... :p Thank you all for your kind words and caring support ... it certainly helped me get through tears earlier today and I am now back to my cheery normal self. Onward and upward!!! Many (((Huggsss)))Ranae PS - Am diligently working to get responses back and hugs sent ... just having to spend a little time recuperating. Thanks again ...

Just be glad it isn't a staph infection. I have had 3, after each surgery. I am on antibiotics for the rest of my life. Not fun when they last for months at a time. Damb Lupus! Wish you luck that you heal soon so you can get back to excercising. Hugs Nancy

A reminder from the universe to take it slow. Hard at times for me too. Blessings of healing and patience.
