Tara, I just read your post about your Mom and am so sorry to hear this news. I lost a dear friend to MS about a year ago, just weeks before my dx...it was surreal. They have made a lot of progress w/ rgd to meds to keep this beast at bay since she was first dx'd. I also wanted to say to you that it is not selfish of you to be worried about yourself. I struggled with this myself after losing Michael and then learning that I had the same thing. In any case, she sounds like a lovely woman and you can rest assured that she's in a better place. I too am so sorry for your loss, my hubby and I both have been diagnosed with MS, I am concerned about our 4 kids and whether or not they will also have it. Know that others share in your sadness. Take care!

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI'm married with 3 kids. My mom was diagnosed with MS when I was 2 years old, so she was sick as long as I can remember. I was dx'd Aug. '07. Mom passed away in July '08.
Treatments
- Avonex Working / Worked
- Mild side effects; Headachy, fevery. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
Close Multiple Myeloma
Stage: IMy dad was dx'd with Multiple Myeloma in September '06. I'm just trying to get as much information as I can, as he doesn't always want to talk about it.
