Friday July 3
It is almost the Fourth already. The casino around the corner from us is going to have a huge fireworks display. It gets so loud our windows rattle. We have sparks that land in our tree.
I don't know what to do with the dogs. I thought maybe we should put them in the main bathroom and turn on the fan while the fireworks are going off.
Last year we decided to hold them throughout. That didn't work well. Phoebe peed on Samantha and Goldie poohed on me. Bad idea. We won't do that again.
It is so dry right now. I hope there are no fires.

Ask the vet for something to calm them...When we lived in Aruba on New's Year Eve the fireworks would go all day & go big time starting about 10:30pm - 1 am - put our 4th of July celebrations to shame, but anyway the vets down there would give you a very mild pill for any animals that might need it that day - worked wonderful....

I hope they are okay.. my nephew this year just said they are scary and will hurt me.. it was so cute but he was very serious.. he calmed down but he was happy when they were done.. Happy July 4th...
