2 months
It has been about two months since I had the spinal fusion surgery done and it still hurts like hell. I know I shouldnt expect too much too …
I am currently on disability due to BiPolar disorder...I am a Registered Nurse, but obviously not working at the current time. I am a married mother of 3 and a grandmother to a beautiful new grandson. I have been treated for BiPolar disorder for about 8 years and I would very much like to learn some non-pharmaceutical coping techniques. I am also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes which has recently been extremely high. Recently the doctor has started me on two different types of insulin along with three types of pills to try and control my bloodsugar to no avail. So I wait and tinker with my diet to hopefully get my bloodsugar down. If you have any good diabetic recipes please send them along. I have a very strong faith in GOD and know that he is with me thru all my trials and terrors. Everything in HIS time and in HIS way.

I have been Bipolar since I was in my early teens. After a tragic event in my life at age 30, all the symptoms returned with a vengence. I am currently on disability due to the severity of the symptoms.
I developed diabetes with all my pregnancies. I then was diagnosed with "full time" diabetes (Type 2) when I was 29. Within the last few months, my blood sugars have been in the astronomical range. Never less than 300 and frequently over 500. I have had a medication overhaul and have changed my diet drastically to try to stave off the inevitable use of insulin. I have a strong family history of diabetes. I hope to find better ways to keep my glucose levels under control.
My brother died 4 years ago, at the age of 37. He was buried on what would have been his 38th birthday. He had a massive heart attack. Now my sister has died at the age of 44 due to complications of having multiple sclerosis. I cant even imagine I have enough of me left to mourn them and also watch my parents go thru the hell they go thru. I try to be strong for them but feel guilty for not crying enough now.
Basically I am Bipolar and I would like to get to know the flip side of the disorder.
Since 1995 I have had 16 stones. Most pass with the help of drinking alot of water but a few have led me to lithotrypsy and/or cystoscopy to get them out.
I have been in pain for about 4 years now and have just found a doctor that listened. An MRI was done and I have a herniated disc in my lower back and it is putting pressure on some nerve. I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon next month. Cant wait to see what he suggests.
