I'm With You
clairice (11/14/09)
I've been on Oxycodone for almost 2 yrs. and it is because, unlike other times after any one of my 39 surgeries (I'm a paraplegic from a car wreck) This time I ust haven't had the discipline to not take the pill when I hurt or either my mood is low or my husband and I fight. I can't give it to him to dole out to me because I don't trust him anymore. I never took methadone but I hear that it is no diff. than morphine. But I have been told that I get addicted so quickly because I have had it so often. I would say take it for no more than 3 weeks and taper off if you cannot quick cold turkey and the pain will generally get better. I am convinced that pain starts in one place and then it becomes a lie..so that when you quit taking the drug the pai subsides. I've been through that but I "feel better with my oxycodone". Yeah, right! But I just learned about dl-pa dl-phenylalanine (not if you're pregnant!!) for a mood lifter. THis is going do help me immensly I hope. I just ordered some Bluebonnet brand 500mg. off of iherb.com

High Five
rushfan74 (10/26/09)
Another little baby adopted...that's great! :>) Good for you! Your little baby is so lucky! So sorry about your back pain, tho...
Basically feeling like I've lost my "smart" karma, but I keep getting told that there are lessons from that...so, I'm trying not to "wall" myself off from "listening"...but, I have to admit, I'm getting pretty sick of keeping my "radar" up all of the time, waiting for those messages to come through! :>0 The rest of the "worry list" continues, unabated, but--no--like you, I've avoided the cliff...would like to get up close and personal with the cliff to see what it's made of, though...any gold in there, y'think? Take care & God Bless! :>) -

I'm With You
Snugglezach (06/25/09)
Thank you for being there for me and the flowers for Zachary. I shall place your bouquet on his grave. They may be invisible to the eye, but we know they are there. I sure he will like them. Thank you again!

I do understand completely. I finally did a little something for myself today and got a haircut. My hair stylist whom I have known for years, said it was so good to see me and asked well how is sweet Zachary. I have showed her pictures and talked about him every time I went. I could barely get the words out "well is in heaven". The tears started flowing and I was a mess.
It is still hard to go out in public, but even harder to talk about Zachary. I did read something today that says our loved ones never really die because their memories are carried on in those they leave behind. This is true.
What hasn't helped is the weather here has been gloomy lately and much cooler than normal. Yuk!
Last night I had a major meltdown and just started sobbing. Hubby felt so bad for me. Today I am just a little better.
Every day I hope to feel a little better, but thus far that hasn't happened. I must be patient with myself.
How are you feeling/coping? Are you doing any better?
Let me know. -
