Thank you for ur prayers honey. My physical pain has been a ... well, I cant say it! U know what I mean tho. Major pains in my shoulders and lower back! I read something bout soaking in a bath of warm water and Epsom Salts! Seriously, It says it is an old time remedy for arthritic pains as well as many other uses. Check it out! Love, EMT

honestly, that's how I was feeling too. It would make sense you having it too, since we are twins and all!! I'd ask for another test, and if you get the abnormal-normal thing, suggest maybe you see a specialist. Seriously.

    • Close Fibromyalgia

I was diagnosed with FM by my chiropractor after several months and visits with different doctors looking for a source of my pain. My mom and twin sister were diagnosed but my doctors didn't believe FM was a real condition.

      Treatments

      Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
Hot tubs are very relaxing and provide relief but I don't have one or have much access to one! My mom has one but she lives in VT.
      Cyclobenzaprine Somewhat Helpful
Flexeril provides some relief but I find myself needing to take it with ibuprofen to deal with severe pain.
      Heat Somewhat Helpful
It helps relieve some of the pain and stiffness.
      Ibuprofen Working / Worked
It's the most effective pain reliever for me, but I have to limit my usage of it because of stomach issues.
      Massage Working / Worked
LOVE massages but don't get them often. I wish my doctor would prescribe it so I wouldn't have to pay so much!
      Skelaxin Somewhat Helpful
Helps relieve the pain without drowsiness but relief doesn't last long.
      Tylenol Somewhat Helpful
Tylenol is safer on the stomach but doesn't work as well as ibuprofen.
    • Close Hives

I developed a severe allergy to cold temperatures two years ago. Doctors weren't able to find a cause so pretty much the only thing I can do is avoid triggers and treat the symptoms. It's been pretty manageable but it's definitely frustrating to not be able to eat/drink/do many of the things I love!

      Treatments

      Allegra Somewhat Helpful
I take an Allegra 180 every morning. It's more of a preventative measure than necessary for my symptoms.
      Atarax Working / Worked
I take 100mg Atarax at night. It's been the most effective at keeping my reactions under control. I notice the most difference if I haven't taken it for a few days.
Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
Naturally the most effective way to avoid reactions, but it's pretty difficult with something like cold temperatures! For instance, I can't shop in the frozen foods section of the grocery store. I also live in the Northeast so winter months are difficult, but I manage reasonably well. I'd face difficulties no matter where I lived (like air conditioning).
      Benadryl Somewhat Helpful
If I still react on top of my allegra and atarax, Benadryl helps.
    • Open Scoliosis

I was diagnosed with mild scoliosis after college. Combined with my other conditions (scheuermann's kyphosis, fibromyalgia), I frequently have severe back pain.

      Treatments

      Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked
Getting adjustments has provided the most relief for the pain in my neck, shoulders and back.
      Physical Therapy Working / Worked
PT helps during periods of chronic pain.
    • Open Asthma

I've had asthma since I was young. It mostly effects me mostly when I'm exercising or have a cold, but other environmental factors can trigger attacks.

      Treatments

      Albuterol Working / Worked
      Inhaler Working / Worked
    • Open Back Pain

I have scoliosis, scheuermann's kyphosis, arthritis in my spine, a buldging disk, and fibromyalgia. If you can imagine, my back and neck hurt a lot!

      Treatments

      Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
      Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
Helps dull the pain, but never eases it completely.
      Heat Somewhat Helpful
Heat helps loosen up my muscles when they're really tight and hurting.
      Ibuprofen Working / Worked
Ibuprofen is the most effective at relieving my pain but I have to limit my usage of it because of stomach issues.
      Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
      TENS Somewhat Helpful
My chiropractor does STEM treatments before adjusting me and I really like it (but again, the relief is temporary).
