Cataplexy and narcolepsy have created barriers all my life. Making and keeping friends is difficult. I have wrecked all my cars. DS give me hope and I love it. I have severe boundary issues. I cannot bear being touched and yet long for a friend to hold hands even if that sounds crazy.

Close Narcolepsy
I knew something was wrong with me for years. Starting having catapelexy at19. It was not diagnosed for years, when I finally got a polysomnigram and lots of car wrecks. Thank God I didnt hurt anyone but me. I am sad it took so long to get a diagnosis. Doctors have made me think I am crazy. Functioning is still really hard. I just pray to be able to work and keep going.

I just found this community after all this time!!! I miss my family being together. My son is at college. My husband is home but works a lot. My grandmother is dead and parents are barely functional-invalids. I need you guys at DS and I will read all your posts

I have narcolepsy and catplexy and insomnia. I just found out DS has an insomnia group! My daily struggle is to stay awake and not totally wreck every car I have owned. Yup, I have wrecked them all but the current one.

Open High Blood Pressure
Just found this group today! ivae narcolepsy and hih blood pressure and tachycardia(the whole enchilada), I recently got a stent put in my corornary artery. I have severe and profound depression that just started 3 weeks ago, I am trying to get thru it. I am grateful to find this group. I need to talk and learn in order to conquer my fear.

- I need this drug to stay awake and function but it raises my BP often
- Atenolol Working / Worked
- Diovan HCT Not Working
- had to stop it
- Fish Oil Too Soon to Tell
- Lisinopril Too Soon to Tell

- for narcolepsy This also has the bad effect of sometimes raising my BP

i have been experiencing low sodium, dehydration, muscle cramps, My dr put me in the hosp. when my sodium fell to 112. He had me tested for addisons, with the rapid acth test and several random cortisol levels. The random cortorsols came back within range for addisons,but the rapid stimulation did not indicate addisons, i forget the numbers. Is it possible to be misdiagnosed. Any advice? I still have all the symptoms. Thanks
