OK I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR 6 MONTHES TO GET A GRAVE MARKER FOR MY GRANDFATHERS GRAVE HE PASSED AWAY BACK IN 1944 WELL I NEEDED TO GET ALOT OF PAPER WORK TO GET ONE PUT THERE WELL I GOT SOME OF THE PAPER WORK I NEEDED TODAY I GOT BIRTH CERT. TODAY AND MY AUNT CALLED AND SHE FOUND HIS DISCHARGED PAPERS SO I AM MORE THAN HALF WAY THERE I STILL NEED TO CALL DENVER AND GET A DEATH CERT. THEY WANT SO MUCH TO PROVE THAT HE IS MY GRANDFATHER. I NEEDED MY BIRTH CERT. WITH DADDYS NAME THEN I NEEDED DADDYS BIRTH CERT. WITH GRANDPA NAME THEN I NEEDED MY MARRIAGE CERT. SHOWING MY MAIDEN NAME AND FINALLY A PICTURE I D ALL THAT JUST TO GET A DEATH CERT. AND OF COURSE I GOT TO PAY TO GET IT. SO THEN I GOT TO SEND THE DEATH CERT. AND DISCHARGE PAPERS TO THE CEMETARYAND THE LADY SAID SHE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT FROM THERE. SO THAT IS MY GOAL TO GET THAT MARKER PUT ON HIS GRAVE. HE IS A VET AND HE SHOULD HAVE A MARKER . I JUST CAN`T BELEAVE NO ONE IN MY FAMILY KNEW HE DID`NT HAVE A MARKER. MY OTHER GOOD NEWS IS I GOT A JOB TODAY YEA. IT IS AT MY OLD JOB AS A CASHIER.

OK THINGS CAN GET WORST. DENNIS CALLED AND HE SOUNDED SO DEPRESSED. HE IS TAKING CLASS FOR HIS GED BUT IS HAVING A HARD TIME WITH THE THE MATH SO THEY WON`T LET HIM TAKE THE TEST YET. I TALKED TO MY BEST FRIEND THE OTHER DAY AND SHE TOLD ME HOW SHE REALLY FEELS ABOUT DENNIS AND IT HURT A BIT BUT I KINDA UNDERSTAND. I KNOW SOME WILL SAY WHY KEEP HER AS A FRIEND WELL BECAUSE WE HAVE A BOND NO ONE UNDERSTANDS. SHE HAS NOT ASKED ME TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HER AND DENNIS AND I WON`T CHOOSE. I HATED HER EX HUSBAND BUT WE STAYED FRIENDS. DENNIS WANTS TO ASK ME TO CHOOSE BUT I CAN`T LINDA HAS BEEN MY ROCK FOR SO MANY YEARS. EVEN NOW SHE IS SHE DOEN`T HATE DENNIS BUT SHE DON`T LIKE HIM EITHER .SHE HAS HELPED ME ALOT SINCE DENNIS HAS BEEN IN PRISON .I LOVE DENNIS SO MUCH AND I REALLY MISS HIM BUT I HOPE HE NEVER ASK ME TO CHOOSE BECAUSE I CAN`T. MY HUSBAND OR MY BEST FRIEND .

Red - what a terrible situation to be in.........I hope you never have to choose. But you know, in the last 3+ years, I've had to give up some really good friends because they were not supportive of my brother so in essence, I had to choose my brother over my good friends............some I had known for over 20+ years! Difficult choice but I could not surround myself with negative people who did not understand. They may be supportive of me but part of that is supporting my brother.

I find it so difficult with my friends too. Some are better than others, but none of them "approve". Of course we're not married, so that's a little bit different, but it annoys me that my friends are judging someone they haven't even met. Stay strong, and don't choose, if people in your life love you, they won't make you choose between those that you love.

I'm in the same boat but with me I feel my husband is trying to get me to walk away from OUR son the way he has. Our son is serving a 10 year sentence down in Texas (he has seven years to go). The day he was sentenced my husband actually waved goodbye to him and wouldn't even go with me when we were allowed to visit him when he was just in the county jail. He even made the comment the other day that we should have allowed him to join the military, he might have been killed but it would have possibly been better then what he is going through now. What a thing to say about your own son even if you are upset abouit what he did. I never knew a heart could be that cold.
WELL IT HAS BEEN A VERY LONG TIME SINCE I WROTE IN MY JOURNAL BUT MY LIFE STILL SUCKS I AINT BEEN WORKING SINCE MARCH WELL I DO SELL AVON BUT NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE A LIVING SO I HAVE BEEN LOOKING I MIGHT HAVE A JOB WORKING AT MY OLD JOB AS A CASHIER AND MY FATHER IN LAW IS DRIVING ME CRAZY I`M TIRED OF FIXING EVERYTHING HE MESSES UP IT IS WORST AS HAVING A YOUNG CHILD TO TAKE OF.I JUST SIT HERE AT THE COMPUTER ALL DAY AND WAIT FOR DENNIS TO CALL I SEEM TO BE THE ONE EVERYONE GOES TO WHEN THEY NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO BUT WHO IS THERE FOR ME TO TALK TO I DO ENJOY GOING TO THE GROUP GAMES FOR FUN OK I`M THRU RAMBLING ON FOR NOW I SHOULD TRY WRITING MORE IT DOES MAKE ME FEEL A BIT BETTER.

That is almost unbelivable what they are making you do to put a grave marker. Why would anyone want to put one on a grave for someone they didn't know anyway. You would think one form of identification should be enough! I'm happy you have your job back...I hope you don't forget about all of your DS friends :)
