Camels in Texas!
This is a shot from the hwy a few miles N. of Wichita Falls of some camels at a camel ranch.

Those are some very lucky camels not to be in the desert somewhere.....instead they get green pastures. I wonder what the rancher does with the camels? surely they aren't raised for food???YIKES!

Believe it or not, they are raised for racing! Yep, just like they do in countries such as Saudia Arabia, Afghanistan and other Middle East countries. I just wander where they're raced!?! There are about 3 dozen or so of them and they look quite happy. There are a couple of white ones. I don't know what it is about them, but I love them!

Hmmm....camel races. Sounds like something they might do down in Mexico and place bets? I suppose the rancher might ship them to the Middle East to compete against the locally raised camels. It's very interesting!
