About Me
I am a mom of 4 teenagers, and a wife of 10 years. I was diagnosed with fibro about 2000 .I have a GREAT understanding husband which makes life easier. I resigned my position as an Assistant Director at an assisted living community in August 2007. I have been an lpn since 1994. I thought being able to stay at home would be great. Dont get me wrong, with my fibro especially it does make life easier, and I DO enjoy my kids, but I feel so empty and lost. I cannot get used to not getting up and putting on my work clothes and going out to work. Trying to find a routine seems hopeless.

Interests
I enjoy so many things... I love my kids, 4 wheeling, gardening, music, my pets (3 dogs, 1 cat, 4 rats, 1 bunny, and 4 fish tanks), and I am in the market for a horse for me and my daughter Katie (I actually am also wanting to get two baby goats for my girls, and my oldest son and I want to baby ducks to raise too) :) I used to enjoy cooking and baking and I still do on my good days, I like scrapbooking, sewing, cross-stitching reading, movies, and walking, that is all that comes to the top of my head. I love family get togethers, and spending time with my friends when able.
I enjoy so many things... I love my kids, 4 wheeling, gardening, music, my pets (3 dogs, 1 cat, 4 rats,

Thanks for the info on Savella, started 4 weeks ago. They lowered my dose because of profuse perspiration. Keep going girl! Ellen

I have a brother that has taken various drugs his whole life, but for the past 2 years he has been on meth. It has effected me and my mom and my family seriously! He was in an explosion in Jan. of this year and it almost killed him. He burned 70% of his body. Just 2 weeks ago I told him it was either the drugs or us. He was getting involved in activity that was going to end up hurting my mom or my children. It was a very painful day. It has been since August that I have seen or heard from him.

Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with fibro about 7 years ago. It seems to have just slowly gotten worse in the past 3 years. It started interferring so much with my job of 10 years that I finally resigned. It was a very hard thing to do. I am now looking for people to talk to and maybe find a way to have a little more quality of life. I love to talk and meet all kinds of people. I am a nurse also (LPN) so it is my nature to nurture. :)

- Love how this helps my mood and overall wellbeing, without the icky side effects of the normal antidepressants. Recommend to everyone
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- Wonderful, works when nothing else doeslll
- Clonazepam Working / Worked
- Take a small dose for anxiety or to help me rest at night. Dont take it often but sure does help when I need it.
- Cyclobenzaprine Not Working
- Tried it some time ago and it didnt help at all.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- At one time it seemed to really help alot but over time the basic side effects that all anitdepressants seem to have just got old.
- Heat Working / Worked
- wonderful life saver.... take advantage of the heat
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Take for break thru pain with my ultram. It is a huge help!
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Ultram is my life saver. I take it everyday, and have for a few years now. The only bad thing is I have very very gradually had to increase the dose for it to be effective, and on really bad days I have to suppliment with Lortab to really kick the pain, however, it is less or non addictive and aside from a slight feeling of dizziness when I first started taking it I havent had any ill side effects.
Open Gastric Bypass Surgery
I myself have not had surgery, but my husband is facing this in the next 3 months or so and I of course want to keep up with every bit of info I can. Later I can share his experiences, and maybe help someone else. :)

I am the proud momma of four teenagers.. 15,14,13,12!! 2 boys 2 girls.. the oldest and youngest I gave birth to, the middle two came with my husband and have lived with us for almost 4 years. The children were 1,2,3,4 when we first met. What a rollercoaster!!

I have been trying to loose weight for years. I have only been successful 2 times that I can recall and both included lots of physical activity. I was raised on a farm with big meals and taught to lick your plate. My appetite has changed significantly with my fibromyalgia (maybe meds) but so has my physical activity. Starting Curves tomorrow!

She had open heart at age 5 mnths and is now 13 and we are facing surgery number 2 in 10 days. I was not in her life yet for the first one and this is about to rip my heart out. She is so nervous, as we all are.

My son is bipolar. He is actually my step son and we have only had custody. His problems are getting worse and we are pretty sure he has had conductive disorder his whole life, but we are working on getting him inot the doc to get this ball rolling.
