I am a caregiver for my mother who has and battles Carcinoid Cancer.
Treatments
- Octreotide Working / Worked
- She still takes monthly shots not sure at this point how effective it is at this time.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- Had large amount of colon and appendix removed in 2000 due to carcnoid, Liver resection in 2008 due to large tumor on liver... Was really not that sucessful other symptoms manifested she did have the Carcinoid heart problem due to the Carcinoid syndrome, has a patch now due to it made a hole in in her heart.
