    • Close COPD & Emphysema

      Among other health problems, I have COPD. But COPD is not my life. Although it makes my life difficult, I try to live through it.

      Treatments

      Advair Somewhat Helpful
      Due to no longer having health insurance, I can no longer afford to use Advair. The cost is over $200 per month.
      Albuterol Somewhat Helpful
      This helps in in a time when I find it very difficult to breath.
    • Close Rheumatoid Arthritis

      I was diag. with RA in 1999. I was in remission for 2 years, up until the time of my dear sisters death which sent me into a flare that has lasted over a year. I also have OA now, mainly in my back and knees.

      Treatments

      Arava Somewhat Helpful
      I am now on Arava. It is helping somewhat, I take it along with the steriods.
      Celebrex Not Working
      I no longer use.
      Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
      I went into remission with Methotrexate. But it did not help at all after I flared again.
      Prednisone Working / Worked
      I am on 50mgs a day and have gone up to 100mgs. It helps.
    • Open GERD & Heartburn

      I have advanced reflux. I'm now on 2 Nexium a day and still have problems.

      Carafate Not Working
      Nexium Working / Worked
    • Open Osteoporosis

      I was diagnoised with osteo when I was only 32 years old. It was an early onsot due to pre-mature minopause. I now have severe osteo.

      Treatments

      Boniva Not Working
      Too expenise for me with no insurance.
      Fosamax Not Working
      Lots of problems with this drug. My jaw is deterationg.
    • Open Arrhythmias

      A year ago I was dianoised with an Arrythmia after having a chemical stress test. My Internal Med doctor couldn't believe how fast and how irregular my heart was beating.

      My hubby and I no more get out of the financial hole when we're thrown back into it. We own our own semi truck that's always breaking down and needing repairs. We also owe over $10,000.00 in back taxes and I'm afraid we may loose our home.

      Ill be having surgery due to a large flat polyop. Dr. says hes 98 sure is cancerous.

      10 days ago I began feeling sicker (?) then I have ever felt in my life. I believe that a tick I found behind my left ear has given me Lyme.

      I was just diag. with gallstones after an accute pancreatis attack and 4 days in the hospital. I have an appointment with a surgeon this week.

      I have recently been hospitalized with acute pancreatitis, caused by a blockage from stones in my gallbladder. Worried about the possibilities of another attack.

    • Open Sleep Apnea

      I just recently was diagnoised with sleep apnea and am now on a CPAP nightly. I've been on it for about 3 days and haven't really noticed a differance.
