Chat:
What is DailyStrength Chat?
DailyStrength Chat is a simple and easy way to have real-time conversations with other online members of
DailyStrength. All chats are private - meaning, only you and the person you're talking to have access to the messages.
Once you are signed in to the site, you'll see a Chat bar at the bottom of your Web Browser window. Like other Instant
Messaging programs, the Chat bar allows you to view which of your DailyStrength friends' are online, set your own Chat
status, Chat with one or more members, and easily share DailyStrength pages through Facebook, Twitter, Email, and
DailyStrength Chat.
How do I close the Chat bar / sign off of Chat?
Click the Friends tab in the Chat bar to open your friends list. Then, at the top, click on your Chat status next to
your user name and choose 'sign off chat'. This will a) prohibit others from chatting with you, and b) show you as
offline. It will NOT sign you out of DailyStrength - you can still post messages, etc.
Why don't I see the Chat bar at the bottom of my Web Browser?
To chat on DailyStrength, you need to sign into your account and then the Chat Bar will appear. If you don't have an
account, sign up for one now.
Why don't I see the Chat Now! buttons?
Chat Now! buttons are displayed next to members that are online and ready to Chat. If you are having difficulty view
the Chat Now! button you can try to quit and then restart your browser.
How do I start a Chat with another DailyStrength member?
Once you are signed into your DailyStrength account, there four easy ways to start a new Chat:
1. You can start a Chat with a DailyStrength friend right from the Chat Bar by clicking on the friend's name in the
Friends list.
2. Go to a member's profile page. If the member is online and ready to Chat, you'll see an orange 'Chat Now!' button
next to their name. Click the Chat Now button to start a chat.
3. Go to the People page (click the People button under the DailyStrength name at the top of any page). Member's who
are online and ready to Chat will have the 'Chat Now!' button next to their name. Click the Chat Now button to start a
chat.
4. In discussion boards, place your cursor over a member's avatar to show the member info popup. If the member is
online and ready to Chat, you'll see an orange 'Chat Now!' button next to their name. Click the Chat Now button to
start a chat.
By far the best way to find people to Chat with is by making new friends on DailyStrength so you can see when they are
online.
Can I chat with more than one person at a time?
Check you out, Ms Popular! Yes, you can! While chatting with one friend, just simply go to your Friends tab in the
Chat Bar, double click your friend's username and a new chat window will appear on the Chat Bar. Also, while you are
Chatting with one friends you may get a new chat message from a different friend - in this case a new chat window will
also appear on the Chat Bar next to your existing chats.
Argh! I only want to chat with my friends! What can I do?
Go to My Account and select the "FRIENDS ONLY" chat option. This will hide your Chat status (and Chat Now button) from
everyone except your friends.
Can I choose to not receive any Chats all?
Yes, just sign off of chat. To do this, go to the Chat bar and click on the Friends tab. Next to your username will be
a chat status (it usually says "Available"); set it to 'offline'.
How do I block someone on Chat?
To block a friend from Chatting with you, do this:
1. Make sure you are logged into your Dailystrength account and click SIGN ON in the Chat Bar if you're not already
available to chat.
2. Click on the Friends tab.
3. Click on the icon (picture) next to the person's name that you want to block and select "block".

following same instructions above.
How do I report abuse that happens in a Chat?
To report someone for abusive or inappropriate chat behavior, do this:
1. Make sure you are logged into your Dailystrength account and click SIGN ON in the Chat Bar if you're not already
available to chat.
2. Click on the Friends tab.
3. Click on the icon (picture) next to the person's name that you want to report and select "Report".
We will automatically receive a report of the event. You do not need to send us an additional note. You may also want
to block that person.
How do I add Smileys?
Express yourself with cool emoticons. Just type the usual characters to make a smiley. For example, just type :-) and
the Chat system will change it to a graphic smiley.
What is the difference between my Profile Mood / Status Message and my Chat
Status?
Your Chat Status (availiable, away, busy, sign off chat) is only for Chat and does not affect your DailyStrength mood
(the I'm Feeling smilies). You can set your Chat Status (click next to your member name in the Friends tab of the Chat
bar) to let friends know if you are available to Chat or not or to sign off of Chat completely. The Status Message,
however, is the same for Chat and your DailyStrength profile. You can change your Status Message on either the Chat
Bar or elsewhere on DailyStrength.
Are my chats private?
Your chats are a private conversation between you and the person you are chatting with. We do not display your chat
transcripts on the site. Nevertheless, you should ALWAYS use caution when exchanging personal or sensitive
information.
What are the compatible Web Browsers?
Dailystrength Chat should display and function properly with all browsers. Recently Meebo has seen some issues with
IE8 Beta. You'll have to make sure and click the Compatibility View button in the Chat bar in order for the IM bar to
display correctly.
Is DailyStrength Chat the same as Meebo?
DailyStrength Chat is powered by Meebo and is part of the growing Meebo Community IM network. For more information, click here.

the title of the Goal you would like to change. Then click Edit Goal in the upper right corner, and change the setting

How does the Goal Graph work?
The Goal Graph is a visual timeline of your Goal, showing the history of your Goal so far--where you started, and any
updates you've made.
The vertical numbers on the left show where you started with each tracker.
You'll notice the dates along the top, from when you started to the current day.
The vertical blue lines separate the dates.
Each horizontal line represents a tracker, and shows the progress you have made on your Goal. For instance, if
your goal is to lose weight, and you're tracking Current Weight, and Body Mass Index, you will see two horizontal
lines, each with a different color. If your starting weight was 200 lbs, and you update your goal to show that you
have dropped to 195 lbs, the Current Weight line will dip down to your new weight.
Why doesn't my Goal Graph work?
Goal Graphs work on both Windows and Apple machines, with all major browsers, including Firefox, Internet Explorer,
and Safari.

Large photos will be resized to a maximum of 600 pixels.
What kind of image formats can I use? You can add GIF and JPEG formats to your DailyStrength Photos section.
What do I need to do to make sure my avatar looks its best? Start with an avatar that is in a vertical 4:5 "portrait" format (imagine taking a picture with your camera
turned on its side) and approximately 160x200 pixels. Square or horizontal "landscape" images will require more
cropping and might not give you the best results. An image that is smaller than 160x200 will automatically be enlarged
to fit, sometimes giving you a fuzzy or "pixelated" image. If the image is too narrow, either too tall or too wide,
cropping will be difficult and your image will suffer.
Where do I report an offensive photo? Write us, and include a brief
description and the member's name.
Why do I see two avatars sometimes in the Recent Activity section? When you see two avatars with an arrow between them, it indicates that the member who has the avatar on the
left communicated (for instance gave a hug) with the member who has the avatar on the right.

more free online services, like Yahoo, Google, or Facebook.
