After years of infertility, I joined DailyStrength. I was looking for encouragement, but I found more than that: I found friendship. For more than three years, I have had the joy of close relationships with four women I met at Daily Strength. Even after my circumstances changed (a surgery cured my infertility!), they continued to be my loyal friends (including the two who did not find success with pregnancy). From my computer, I have witnessed joyful events and terrible tragedy in their lives. We have been friends on Facebook, we email each other often (sharing lots of photographs), and we are already planning to meet together in person as soon as we can.

When I first saw Diem in the Infertility Support Group, I thought she was feisty. I had no idea the way life was going to bring us together. It is amazing how much we have in common and how easily we found each other, even though we live thousands of miles apart. Her supportive comments and letters usually make me smile or laugh. We have seen each other through failed pregnancy tests, pregnancy and birth, moving to new cities, juggling life with two young children only eighteen months apart, and now this... Since her diagnosis with Hodgkins Lymphoma, my heart has broken for her.

We pray for her every day. She stays in touch with us almost daily and we cheer for her. She inspires us with her ability to stay positive. She is a wonderful mother and wife with a bravery that knows no bounds. I am so thankful that she is my friend. And now that I see what she is up against, I'm more thankful than ever about her being feisty. H.L., beware!
