The Justice Department wages war on pain relief.
Siobhan Reynolds and PRN, held in contempt
Dear Members, Friends and fellow pain sufferers,
PRN and PRN President, Siobhan Reynolds, are being held in contempt of court. This judgement is being appealed to the 10th circuit. PRN and Ms. Reynolds are being fined out of existence as a result (each $200 a day). If the Federal Government can trample political activism by threats and fines and get away with it, then there is no rule of law left in this country.
We continue to get emails from patients in so much pain that that they want to kill themselves. We send them to the nearest hospital but also recognize that they likely will not get the care they need. Most likely, they will be called addicts and thrown out (See http://reason.tv/video/show/when-c...).
There are good reasons why our forefathers envisioned a limited government. What is going on here is a stark example of our government's failure to abide by the Constitution.
With any luck, the Judges of the 10th Circuit will hold the government to those requirements.
Now, more than ever, PRN needs your support. Money donated to PRN will be used to pay PRN's fines, and to continue advocating for patients rights.

I hope this will be a place that people can come together and support one another when dealing with pain or health challenges with a focus on HOW to be your own best advocate when it comes to your healthcare needs and how to get the respect of the medical community that you DESERVE. Would be great to have a mix of people that have learned what their "rights" are(I know this is up for debate)and have found ways to achieve what is in THEIR best interest for their health care and share wi
