Mom of a teen Fibro girl

Posted on 10/27/08, 09:46 pm
Hello all, my daughter is now 16 years old, she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when she is 13, I still don't have a lot of information to work with to help her. Could any of you share your stories and some of your symptoms with me?

I'm 19 and have had fibromyalgia since I was 11. Have you seen a rheumatologist? They'll have some good information for you. Have you looked for an arthritis support group in your area? I've found them to be really good.

I have lots and lots of symptoms. Send me a message if you'd like to talk more.

I can't imagine the stress you must be feeling but I wa diagnosed with fibro when i was 11 and have been struggling with it for 17 years. One of the worst parts of this is the lack of info doctors have and the facts that it is different for each person. If you are interested, feel free to contact me and I can share some of the things hat I've tried and that have helped.

I am 20 Years old and I was diagnosed when I was 13! It is very hard being so young with such a terrible thing...but I am strong and we all can be, we just have to support each other!
