Changes
A cool breeze blows
The sun is still hot
Autumn is drawing near
Things of summer
The heat and the bugs
Will all soon disappear
The grass will brown
The leaves will drop
Leaving the trees naked and bare
Animals work
Gather their needs
For winter they prepare
Flowers retreat
Into the ground
To sleep all winter long
They lay waiting
The time for them
To awaken to springs song
What if these changes stopped happening
And things refused to grow
Are we so consumed in ourselves
That we would not even know
