Saturday Night Special

Unreachable, this man awaits,
so weathered, he awaits the fates.
Unsure how he can carry on,
without the season of ice cream,
the sticky syrup daily dream.
The laughing children all, are gone.

The bankers have destroyed it all,
this business that he loves will fall.
Now etchings of intimation,
stolid in the face of his loss,
mask mounting fury across
a tincture, of desolation.

Abruptly, his chrome plated life
will end, without hesitation.

  Thanks Jen. This sonnet tells a story as well as presents a problem. I do not get much feedback on it, although I am quite pleased with it. "Tis a dark fate for the ice cream man and I think that gets to folks. ;)
