okay... I have been trying to think of something...
I think I need to find any other ideas for my son. He is almost 10 years old and has severe anger issues. I have taught him all sorts of pranayama and asanas. It helped him a lot.. but he has much more to go before he can control himself. he is to the point of seeing himself in the acts, but not able to stop quickly.
Any yoga for anger bursts?

I'd love to know what yoga positions are good to get you up and going in the mornings? I'm particularly wondering are there any certain positions that are really good for getting my energy levels up. Are there any I can do to keep the energy going that are easy to do during the day when i'm on the move? And finally, some I can use to help me slow down and unwind of an evening.
So info on using yoga for energizing and relaxiation I guess... by the time i am totally on awake and on the ball, it's time to start winding down again, and I'd love to make the transitions from awake to asleep run more smoothly and not be so tired all day : )
/hope you can give some info on this one soon, I look forward to it! -

Hi, everyone! Wow...I take a break, and it goes from 4 to 13 members! YIPPY!!! I've had a hectic week, but it's starting to slow down for the weekend...thankfully! I'm pooped! I promise, I'll address these, in the AM. In case I didn't mention, there's no reason that you HAVE to wait for me to respond. If you have an answer or advice, give it. If you know of a good article to share, share it! By all means, I won't be offended, and I'm certainly not a guru anyway! Lots of love...talk to you more tomorrow! -

I don't really have a specific condition but I do want to become less stressed and more in the moment. What videos, books, web sites can help me get started? -

Anxiety is often times helped with yoga breathing and focusing on a mantra. It is a matter of changing your mind on what you are focused on. You may need to consider using a taped meditation to help you, or find a qualified meditation group to attend. Many psychiatrists recommend yoga for anxiety. Remember the body/mind is a interelated unit and the breath is the bridge, so when you are feeling the overwhelm coming on, just watch your breath and if you lose focus, then replace the focus again on the breath, and continue that again and again, for a few minutes. You may even consider laying on the floor with your legs up the wall, or on your back with the knees bent and watch the belly rise and fall. Try to even out the inhale and exhale, and get the breath slow and complete as much as you can. Often times with anxiety the breath goes into a spasm or shorten, and that will just get things worse. The control of the breath will change the spiral of anxiety, so do as I described and see if that works. Message me if you need to have more help.

I have arthritis in my lower back and have to keep moving so I don't feel stiff. Are there any yoga exercises that will strenghten my back. Also, I have arthritis in my knees. Any suggestions?

Just received a dvd in the mail that I ordered. I wanted to start out very slowly so the dvd I ordered has to do with gentle yoga.
