So I decided I did not want a period this month so I decided to take the active pills on the week I should take the placebo. Working out ok so far. Anyone tried this? I've done this once for my honeymoon.

  No, I am pretty happy with my periods since I been on Nuvaring,my period last for 3days or less now... something about having a period make me feel more clean out... It more physcologically for me that I am suppose to have a period tho.. I wish I had known this when I got married... I was my period during my wedding;(

  Be careful of altering your natural hormone balance too much. Remember, with birth control pills, you increase your risk for certain cancers and heart disease.

  I only did it for this month. I know what you mean Brandy once I have my period I know everything is working ok. It seems like I always get my period when we have to go out of town and I hate it. So I took this month off because we leaving town at a bad time again.

  I skip the placebo pills sometimes if I have a vacation planned during that week. And when I surgery this past summer, I skipped the placebos. I don't think it's a big deal because there are birth control pills set up specifically so the woman doesn't have but 4 periods a year. Plus, if your body decides it's been long enough without a period, it will have one whether you skipped the placebos or not.
