I use pencil because it is easy to erase mistakes. But truthfully a BOS is personal so you should use whatever material you feel best with. -

thanks, i used to make my own paper and make a book out of it. but the only problem was it wasen't very durable and it fell apart so i was just looking to see if anyone had used some material that was like amazing! haha. -

i have 2; one for spells and another for incence and recipies, teas etc. both of mine were bought, and the outer covers are solid - for me, i find them easier to keep then anything else. -

you know... i bought myself a scrapbook to make a BOS and never did.... of course.. i don't have time to do my normal scrapbooks either... anyway, what i'm going to do is probably write the contents in pencil to ensure correct spelling and spacing, then go over it with ink... also want to incorporate scrapbook elements (of course i do... i'm a scrapper) including using rubber stamps, layering effects, objects such as pressed flowers, drawings/sketches or photographs, etc. I don't think materials really matter much. Heck, some people just keep everything on their computers. I've really gotten out of doing spells lately... I miss it and should definitely get back to it. good luck! -

Merry Meet! How does everyone organize their BOS? I have a temporary BOS I'm going to finish it and transfer everything to my permanent book on completion. However, I have so much information (spells, herbs, receipes, poetry etc), I don't know how to organize it all together into the final BOS. Any ideas?
Thanks

I just wanted to quickly reply and say that I was thinking about getting a calligraphy set to complete my BOS. I'm not sure how much they cost, you may be able to make the ink at home. I'll see if I can find more information on this. -

Handwriting is good, I use separate little journals for different things, but I'm also a definate cyber-witch! -

There is a place online that sells blank BOS, as well as the feather quill pens, and ink if you wanna go old school, but other than that, I know nothing. -
