I love the core plan. I like it. It is real food. I like to feel full. I need to get back on track. I am so glad to see that somebody made a Weight Watchers CORE club. Count me in and I don’t mean POINTS. LOL get it! flex plan. WW-joke.
I weight 135 pounds and I want to lose maybe five or so pound and maintain my eating habits while trying to get my family to do the same. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall so I don't want to loose too much, and I am also eating right to control fibo, CF & IC symptoms. I have to work out daily also to control symptoms. Eating right is a life style for me. I always have to eat this way, but it gets difficult to stay on track when family and friends do not eat the same way. I thanks again for starting this club. My goal is to also get my husband and kids eating healthier foods.

I follow the WW Core plan. I love it! I began in October, 2007. Have since lost 30 pounds. My starting weight was 224 - my goal is 145, but I'm going to go for 135.
I don't stay for the meetings. I usually weigh in and follow the plan at home. I need to be accountable to someone when I weigh in, which is why this program is great for me. My hubby and I have come up with some really great recipes too.

Hi Lizzy!
The Core plan is pretty easy. You eat from a list of healthy whole foods (lean proteins, fruit, veggies, fat-free dairy, etc. - it's mostly unprocessed foods) and you also have 35 flex points a week to use in case you want some wine, bread, or other processed food. You can also have a potato, some whole wheat pasta or brown rice with one meal a day (one of the items once a day) and there are some days that I don't even want to dip into my points...you eat until you're satisfied (not full) so if you want a little more of something at a meal, it's okay. For instance, you're not limited to a half cup of rice - if 3/4 does the trick, then that's perfect. And with it being considered a "Core" food, you don't use any points for the extra either (unless, in the case of the brown rice, you choose to have it at another meal. Then you need to count points for it).
It can get a little confusing at first (like when my dh said "but what about butter? I like butter on my toast!" and I replied with "oh, that's easy - you can't have bread."). LOL Which you can have, but it's not a "core" food. You'd have to use your points for it.
Welcome
