Stress Eating

OK, I've been silent on here for a while, and I'm sorry about that, but I've been trying to fight my own demons and not necessarily winning the battle either. However I was looking at the buddy sign up list for April, and saw quite a few that say they are stress eaters or emotional eaters. At the time of reading that, I was sitting here at the computer at work, stuffing my face with chocolate filled donuts after a really bad day, and I was like yep that's me, stree eater, emotional eater, whatever you want to call it.....feel stressed - feed my face, feel emotinal - feed my face, while it gives me some immediate gratification `less stressed, less emotional' in the long run it doesn't help.......so I decided to do some googling on it, and found these articlse......thought I'd share them......

hopefully the link will work, if not just copy and paste it into your browser.
This article on about.com was also quite enlightening and useful

This has been me for the past month and I don't quite understand it. I have had some stress but nothing more than I have had in the past, yet this month it is beating me. I need to get past the need to eat when things aren't going well. -

The hardest part of losing weight, Is keeping it off, of course everyone is different. We all don't experience the same problems. One's self-esteem is low and my bad eating habits are hard to change, even though I will admit I've mentally trained myself and I do eat healthier. I'm 43 years old and I'm determined to never be heavy again. Also being single helps with wanting to feel and look beautiful again. -

Thanks Cath for sharing, that is my main & biggest problem right now. I read this and I'm sure I will be going back to read it again.
