i saw a Rhemaulogist sorry for the spelling last Thursday. I knew I had Fibromyalgia as I was diagnosed in July 2002. The Rhemie told me shes sure I have Severe Fibro. Ive tried everything for the pain. I dont like taking pills. Im getting more and more blood work done. I cant handle hot weather. I try to be active but even walking to my deck just feet away from my door is very painful. Im getting constant headaches too. I wonder if Fibro runs in the family as my older sister has it. But since I havent talked to her in yrs i cant ask her what she does for her fibro.
Im only 36 yrs old but feel older alot older. I know 80 yr olds that arent in as bad shape as i am.
have any ideas

i know i'm only eightteen but ive had fibro for three years. it really is horrible, but you have to realize wha tmakes you hurt. make a list of all the things that make u hurt in a day and the more you do that the more you find a way to either change your ruitine or make the pain a little less.also, stress makes you hurt more. and maybe (just a suggestion) speak to your sister again you'd be surprised how much better you feel when you have someone to support you who's close to you. I don't know how i would have gotten this far without my aunt who also has Fibromyalgia.
    good luck!

Oh love i'm so sorry that you are in so much pain and at such a young age still !!!!......it can run in families.......have you looked at the Doms newsletter which is at the top of the page she has quite a bit of advise on her site..also the immune support website has loads of info as well...i wish i could offer more advice and help for you but maybe you may find something to help you on these sites....maybe this is a time to try and get in contact with your sister and heal whatever there is between you and to give each other support and love which we all need with this .....please let me know how you get on ...God bless love and hugs Ellie xxxx

Hi, Ellie is right is does run in families and so is Angelic stress plays a huge part in how we feel as does the weather. I would also suggest checking each of the discussions as you will find some helpfull info there. Since we all have it and are all different we have all found different ways to deal with it. You will find everone one here very supportive to you and this disease your fighting, because we are all in the same boat. Please be kind to yourself and take it as slow as you need but yet still move even if it is a little it helps. Love and hugs, Jenni
