I often find myself waking up in the middle of the night and not able to fall back to sleep.I start dwelling on issues in my life.I tried sleep aids, but nothing really works well for me...I have no medical to see a dr. and get a perscription. It's been awhile since I have slept solid through the night.

Ah...sorry to hear that. I have had chronic insomnia for years...which of course affects fibro, blood pressure and other challenges... Sometimes I count as high as I can...and then count backwards...which usually does not work. Have you tried melantonin. Check it out...good luck...You may find that not much works. I have taken to small naps during the day...no longer than 40 minutes to an hour...even though this is usually not recommended by Doctors or sleep specialists. While this does not stop the insomnia, it does not make it worse. Good luck...namaste...mlb

PS..mediktation, Tai Chi, Chi gong and relaxation tchniques may be helpful.

Chronic insomia is why we belong to a support grout, Welcome, add Ilstening to a boring book, along with all the other suggestions might work, add some of the New Age music, eg: yanni, mozart, zero spicy foods. I do all the above mediation. some nights are shorter than others. Good luck jzldy
