I feel Alone and Helpless

I have to deal with Depression for many Years. I really feel often alone and helpless. I often Isolate myself when I am depressed. I try to fight my Depression every Day. Its not easy. But i make little Steps forward. Go to school to get my Ged, want to look for a Job, try to be a good Mother for my 19 Month old son. I am married, 37 years old and have moved from Germany to California which was also a very big Step for me.I am a Floral Designer and Studied 2 Years in Germany.

you are not alone! writing and responding to posts on this site has proved to me there are alot of people who feel the way we do, so keep trying, let your love for your son be a motivator! -

I often feel so lost and alone....I feel like a black hole,so empty inside.It is so hard for me to be happy and have interest in daily things....When i was working i could barely hold a job...I am a single 40yo. man with no love in my life...Pray Pray Pray for change and a sense of direction...BAM68 -

I have been the Black Hole you mention, I am here to share with you, there is a Rainbow at the end of tunnel, Hang in there,Its funny life to me is like a good book, I am the author. You can and will find your way to the light.

The University Depression Study Group consists of a small group of academic researchers devoted to studying depression in an effort to improve depression care. We do so through anonymous online surveys that allow us to learn from the experiences of people living with depression. Our team includes medical professionals and social scientists, all from top research universities.
