i ask myself that alot too, i haven't got to the point of living for myself yet, so i try to focus on those that depend on me and try to function for them, my brother told me once that if you fake a smile long enough you may start to believe it yourself, i dont know if this helps but you're not alone -

Alot of us ask that question Puma.... thats my favorite cat by the way... and soccer team.... anyway... i always feel like something is holding me down, or holding me back. I'm sure you feel the same way. The only reasonable answer I came up with is to just talk to someone, get everything off your chest and you will feel better for a bit. -

Agree. It feels as though things are never going to get better. Kind of like being stuck in a hole that i can't get out of. Oh, i don't know how to explain. Talking could help you deal with it or writing whatever you fee on a piece of paper and then tearing or burning it up.. Good luck. I pray that you feel better. You can get through this. -

The University Depression Study Group consists of a small group of academic researchers devoted to studying depression in an effort to improve depression care. We do so through anonymous online surveys that allow us to learn from the experiences of people living with depression. Our team includes medical professionals and social scientists, all from top research universities.
