Anyone have any experiences/information on this topic as I was recently diagnosed (after the mc). It seems like all the info on the web and from the dr that I have seen seems to be up in the air and sometimes even conradictory. Thanks to anyone who has info. GOD Bless,
Katy

I am heterozygous for MTHFR and factor V leiden, and have been treated during pregnancy with extra folic acid, B6 and B12, and daily lovenox or heparin injections. I have had a successful pregnancy.

Thanks-It has just been a lot of information and misinformation!

I have MTHFR too (homozygous). I'm being treated with high dose folic acid (4 mg daily -- most prenatals only have 1 mg) and will be put on baby ASA once I get pregnant again (after two m/c). That seems to be the most standard of tretaments. Apparently about 10 % of the population is homozygous for MTHFR and it's not supposed to increase the miscarriage risk, but it's hard to figure out because both MTHFR and miscarriages are so common.

I have also recently been diagnosed with hetero MTHFR after my 2nd m/c. I have been put on Folgard 2.2, prednisone (20 mg) and heprain/lovenox. I really hope this helps!
