Is This Too Spoilt Or What? Too Funny!

OK... So here is what happened... I had to work, so I gave my brother $60 to buy a bunch of t-shirts on sale, now that it is the off season, for my kitty Tipper. He has very short fur, less than 1cm long, so gets very cold this time of the year. During the cold season he actually is very happy to wear a shirt, and does not fight me when I put it on him. He will even prance around proudly, once he has it on.
During the off season for pet clothes, one can often buy t-shirts for a lot less than normal. I can usually pick them up for anywhere between $1.99 to $10.00 for the really nice ones. So here I get home, and my brother said he found a couple shirts for him. I go upstairs to my room where he left them, and check them out.
One it turns out is a Harley Davidson tank shirt, and the other is a black and white argyle sweater. OK... So... His tastes appear to differ from mine when it comes to clothing my kitty Tipper. His choices are much cooler and more stylish than my usual funny t-shirt with a comical saying. I never bothered to look at the price on the tag, because often they do not match the sale price at the times they are on sale, so just removed the tags. After I did so, I asked how much they came to. He said the bill was in the bag. I nearly had a heart attack when I read the bill. They were $30 each! Heck! I don't even spend $30 dollars on a t-shirt for myself! So... I guess his tastes in kitty clothing are coooler and more expensive than mine... LOL
Anyway, the results are that my kitty Tipper, is now the most expensive and stylishly dressed member of our household. Too funny!
OK... Now here are my questions.
Are we nuts to spoil our pets this way?
Do you, or have you ever spoilt your pet(s) in a similar way?
Would you spend as much for a shirt for your pet?
And finally... What do you think is reasonable to spend for an item for ones pet? (it could be for clothes, a toy... anything.)
I'm just currious to see if anyone else is as demented as I am, when it comes to spoiling their pets.
(Also please understand... my kitties are my kids as I am unable to have any human kids, so I tend to spoil them a bit more than most people would...)

I have before spent $60 on shirts for my fuzzy boy, but usually I will buy several shirts for that amount. I still think it is funny that my kitty is now the best dressed member of our house hold. I shall take a picture of him in his Harley Davidson shirt, and post it as soon as possible. -

Once, sometime twice a week, I clean chicken thighs and bake them for my Mom to feed her dog. That dog is well fed. -

I hear you Bear. When it was discovered that my kitty Sabrina had allergies, I did that for a while for her, till we found her a good quality food she liked and could eat... -

I grew up with a female German Shepherd. She was the runt of her litter. We would feed her chicken, pork, steak, you name it she ate it. She would lay under the table at dinner time and would put her muzzle up against one's crotch and take a nibble or two to let you know she was there and waiting to be feed. We would have to sneak something to her without Mom seeing us do it. For years my mother could not understand how a dog could get so big from dog food. Belle Asia was 24 inches high to shoulder and over 30 inches from head to butt. She weighed the most around 130 pounds. She would get bones from us, the neighbors, and wherever she roamed to during the day. Once came home with a soup bone that was bigger than a full grown Taco dog. -

Actually when she came home with that soup bone we actually thought it was a Taco dog or even one of those wiener dogs. We actually went around the neighborhood asking if anyone was missing a dog. -
