what should i do if my girlfriend starts to act differnt?
my girlfriend id acting differnt because im bipolar.

you could try getting her to read some books about it which might help her to understand that this is a disease like any other and that you need support. good luck with it. -

also maybe try to get her to understand that you have bp disease but it is not the sum of who you are. -

Find someone who is UNDERSTANDING of sickness or who does not judge you for a disease! -

my best friend started acting weird around me when i was diagnosed. at first, i was very hurt by her cold, stand off-ish attitude. I did not confront her with my feelings because I finally realized, this was her problem, not mine. After that, I didn't feel so guilty, No one should make you feel guilty for this. -

It might be hard to find someone at your age to really understand just what BP is and how to handle it. Education is the key. You are NOT your illness, but it is a major part of your life. Try to sit her down and educate her a little on the matter. Maybe she'll be more understanding than you know? Ya never know.
