I work just a couple of blocks from there. Okay, it's only a couple of blocks across downtown Knoxville...Do you think we could get Wal-Mart or Home Depot to lend us their scooters for the afternoon? -

IF I can get a ride, I am planing on bringing mine. I think I will contact ETHRA to bring a handicap van. Walmart tends to be b-holes about their scooters, (they won't even let me take it to the parking lot here) but you could always ask! -

Hey Cajun...on the website I seen that they have a mention of someplace to obtain chaies for the handicapped.
It is off to the far right column.
"Carr Rehab Inc
We can loan transport wheelchairs for group members at local events."

Cajun, did you get to go? I did not. Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to go, but I will be spending the time emailing, letter writing, and anything I can do to help. I do not drive anymore, and my husband just started a new job about 3 weeks ago, and won't be off in time! I WILL find ways to make my voice heard!
