Congrats HB on the new home!
Having moved not too long ago myself, I know it can be a while before you get yourself and all your things settled and sorted out, and usually getting the computer up and running to jump online is low on the list of priorities. Consider the fort held while you're gone.

Hi guys,
I've got good news and bad news. The good news is that after almost 5 months of battling, the sale of our flat has gone through and we can move tomorrow. I won't have to deal with stairs, shared fridge or lack of sofa any more! (Just boxes, boxes and more boxes, but I can cope with them.)
The bad news is that while we wait for our phone line and internet connection to be sorted out, I will be offline. Hopefully this won't take long and I'll be back in a week or so, but for the time being I'm going to be an absentee. I just wanted to let you know so you didn't think I'd abandoned you!
So have fun, take care, I'll see y'all soon when we're settled into our new home.

Hehe, ta. It's a shame TPF hasn't been around much, but I know she's been very busy with her upcoming nuptials.
Oddly enough, getting ourselves online was pretty high on our list of priorities, but it still took three weeks. By the time we had to have a phone line installed and then had to wait aaages for the Internet to come through... But now we're good and ready, and the internet may be slow but at least it's constant and I don't keep getting booted like I used to in the Oast.
So yay! I'm back! -

Yay!!!!
When I moved last year, it took us a week to get the computer set up and get back online and I felt so removed from everything that it felt like the longest week of my life! I cannot imagine a three week wait like that, I probably would've gone nuts!
Glad to see you're back on! -

We did get a couple of nights away, and Sky+ arrived, so there has been stuff to keep me occupied. But yes, I was very pleased to see my Facebook page again... -

I was thinking....seeing how it's been just us for some time here (I am sure TPF will rejoin us once she has returned from her honeymoon or whatever it is you guys call it over there) perhaps we should reach out to some of the people who are still members of the group who haven't been around in a long time to let them know there is some activity here to come back to. Or we could consider inviting in new people. Perhaps it would be good to have other people injecting some ideas into the posts besides just us seeing how at times we get stuck thinking up new songs, shows, torture victims, et al...Just a thought I'm floating out there... -

I'd love to, but I've no idea how. I don't frequent any other forums on this site because I didn't get along with them, but if you do and would like to invite more people in do go ahead.
Welcome
