I am new to this Art Group, hope I am welsome!

I am not a school trained artist in watercolor paintings but, I hope do not hold it againist me. I am strictly an amateur at this time in my old life. I have always had a passion for creating art in many different forms. I started out by doing artistic type of photographs with my old 35mm camera, analog for sure. Then, I went to taking digital photographs and designing my photo shots to come out in an artistic flavor.

Now, that I am more patient, I want to go into watercolor paintings. I have several illnesses to deal with now that I am older. Reactive hypogrlycemia, Social Axiety, and high chelestreol, forgive my poor spelling.

I have all the right brushes, watercolor pans and tubes artist grade, I think. I would like to meet others here that do Watercolor Paintings like me and are friendly to us poor amateurs.

  Opanther, you are very welcome. I am looking forward to seeing some of your work. My media is primarily pencil and ink drawings or acrylic and oil based paintings. I haven't done much watercolor work I tend to apply it really thick like you do when using oil or acrylic paint. I have yet to achieve the transparent effect you are supposed to get with watercolor. As far that school training goes. I don't believe in it. Everyone has a creative side. However, many choose not to use it. There's a saying that goes there are those who do it, and there are those who just teach. I believe when it comes to artistic crafts, hands-on experiences is your best teacher.I was at the art store yesterday and bought some watercolor paints and paper. I'll give it a try and post whatever I come up with. Again, welcome all are welcome here, Rodney
